History

My family’s roots run deep through the Monterey Bay Area.

Much like the Joads in The Grapes of Wrath, my grandparents fled the Dust Bowl, seeking a new start out West. They found it in Pacific Grove, where my father began his schooling at Robert Down and graduated from PG High. On clear days, I can see across the bay to where my great-grandparents rest.

Though I grew up in Salinas, Prunedale, and Monterey, Pacific Grove always held my heart. When my wife and I got engaged, we knew this was where our life together should begin. Since then, our love for this community—its rugged shores, rich history, and kind people—has only grown.

The people of Pacific Grove embody a rare blend of warmth, resilience, and community spirit. Their genuine kindness and unwavering dedication to preserving their town's natural beauty and rich history create a welcoming and inspiring environment for all who visit or call it home.

Community Involvement

Throughout my career, I've developed skills in organization, communication, transparency, honesty, leadership, community service, empathy, and problem-solving. These skills have guided me in my work and my community involvement. I’m proud to have been a founding member of the Marketing Committee for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northern Nevada, where we fundraised for a mobile medical and dental clinic for underserved children. I initiated the change in Reno's zoning laws to allow for tiny homes, paving a way to affordable housing for many. Collaborating with the office of Jimmy Panetta on the MONARCH Act of 2023 was another highlight. Here in PG, I've nurtured hundreds of trees in George Washington Park, helping to ensure a future for our Monterey Pines and Cypresses.
